Melissa, this webquest poses many positive and effective segues (in a number of content areas) into real-life applications. It serves as a springboard for discussion and activities-related lessons that address samurai culture compared and contrasted with members of society today. The notion of regarding the samurai as noble beings is worthy indeed as they represented "bushido" or "the way of the warrior" in all that they did. To tie this principle of moral right into having students look at similar/dissimilar characteristics of modern society is a great avenue of study. I was impressed with the amount and quality of links offered in the webquest itself to guide the students along.
